Soccer doesn't take talent it takes passion and dedication

In 1986 on a floating village in Thailand a group of boys loved to watch football but never actually played. One day a boy had the idea to make their own team.
                                                           Space
They had nowhere to play so they  gathered wood from around the village and started to make their own pitch There were nails everywhere and it was really slippery so the ball went in the water and so did they. They saw an ad for a championship so they decided to enter. Once the villagers started to believe in them They got jerseys and uniforms and boots.

When they got to the Championship they were nervous  but turned out even better than they thought.At the end they ended up at the semi finals.
                                                      How they knew how to play
 At the semi finals it was all wet and their boot filled with water.They were losing by 2  at halftime. They didn't know what to do they took off all their shoes and they played how they were used to. Then they tied up but the other team made a last second shot. The team was devastated but they were happy thy got that far. They made third place. After they made their team Football became Panyee's number one pastime.

Trimester reflection

Iv'e enjoyed being in the blue group in math because it make me feel like i am definitely improving in math. also enjoyed learning about the american revolution. We got to watch movies about the revolution and they were really cool and informational. We had a simulation where we pretend to be people from the american revolution and we got to chose which side to be on (if you were neutralist) and you could be a Patriot or a loyalist. I chose to be a Patriot.
The blue group in math has also been hard though.It had harder work than everyone else and at times I wished that I had everyone else work. I had to have a lot of help on negative and positive integers. Especially when they were decimals.
I can not wait for summer. I am going to California to visit a lot of people. I think middle school is going to be very hard because I am not good a homework. I do homework I just don't turn it in.

Independence

The Patriots have gained more people. I have now decided to switch to the Patriots too. I switched to  the Patriots right before a congress so I gained 40 pows so now I have 63 pows. The Patriots have started to win more arguments or propositions so it looks like the Patriots are going to win our revolutionary war. Here is a video of one of our proposals in our continental congress.

I liked doing the speeches and asking questions that affect which faction we are going to go to. I didn't like answering all the crisis questions and the quizzes we took after congresses. I didn't like it when the loyalists  took a pact against me and they arrested me.

Math Night

I was in the blue group so my group did a project on paper airplanes. Our Question was which style plane would go the furthest. It all depends on thrust drag and lift and weight.we found out the destroyer went the farthest and the lame mobile went the least farthest.

I liked our game we got to pick out a plane and throw it at Gabe and if we hit his stomach we get a ticket. Also I didn't like when we had to stand at our tables for nothing because no one came.I think Math Night was fun and not fun but i mostly enjoyed it because of the game.

Narrative Reflection.

I think I did well by narrating the story and painting pictures in people's minds. I think it was a lot easier than dialogue. You can read my narrative right here. I enjoyed writing it and making the plot diagram and editing and revising and peer revisions. I liked revising shoshana's narrative it was very good you can read it here. What do you think I did well on?

I think I could work on putting in more dialogue. I think Putting in dialogue is harder for me because I cant really fit it in. I don't know how to put dialogue in.  Like how to fit it in like if you say and she said... or if you say "  blah blah blah" she said It is just hard for me.

literary essay self reflection

I think I was good at looking deeper into what the connections mean like why losing their mothers was important or why it was important that they were so alike. I think the most fun of easy thing was getting evidence like why i thought that she said that I had to look in the book to see if she actually said they were alot alike. I think the hardest part for me was finding things to support my thesis. I had to find certain part in the book that supported the thesis. like when I said she grew to love her I had to find evidence in the book that that was true.what do you think I was good at and what do you think I was bad at?

2nd trimester

I am proud of my narrative because I think I did well on  dialogue. I think i should work on organization and having deeper thoughts for my literary essay. I think that if you didn't read because of winn dixie you would not know what I was talking about.

I think I was good at writing and I enjoyed it the most.I think that I could work on math.I think I did well at helping people at the science expo and It was also really fun too. I think i could manage my time better which means i could do stuff that is more important first.

Because of my kittens

My parents went to a pet store and found a black kitten.

“Oh he’s perfect” My mom exclaimed. So that’s how we got our first kitten the second one was a little different…

“I am getting you a kitten for you birthday!” My mom blurted out to her friend Vika.

“Okay then” She replied

When they got there my mom said “here” handing her the kitten.

“Oh this one id soooo cute I have to get it is orange and white stripes. It’s so playful and small.” She cooed so she came home with a new kitten.

When I was born I thought my cats were my older brother. I thought the claws and the fur started to get a little weird when I was 3-4.  One day I was stroking the cat’s long body when all of a sudden he scratched me! I got so scared.

“Aaaaahhh”

I ran away to my mom and she said, “He just doesn’t like it when you touch his butt at all” so I just got a sponge-bob band aid.

Me and my sister, Hannah picked our cats between us and I got the older one Hannah got the playful one for example…

“Come get it!” I exclaimed to my cat. He didn’t move an inch he just sat there like a rag doll.

“Come get the string!” Hannah sung then her cat came and pounced on the string. I started to get jealous but my mom said, “Your cat is wiser and has no time to play” I believed that for a second.

A couple months later Julian got really sick and I think he got kitty cancer but I’m not sure He got really sick. He started to turn white and He was so weak he couldn’t move they had to take pills which was really hard and the started to turn grey.

After Julian recovered we decided to move to Seattle because my dad got a job at Microsoft. We took the cats on the plane on our lap or by our feet. They   opened and closed their mouth like giant puppets that collapses. They sounded silent next to the plane engine.

When we got to Seattle it took a long time to get unpacked on New Year’s Eve our cat Julian looked really bad as in He was really grey and weak again we had to move him everywhere. At least he was still alive the next morning. Or so I thought…

The next morning my mom came to my bed and she said…

“Dad felt so bad for the cat he went to the animal ER and he had him put down”

WHAT?!??!?!”  I shrieked. I felt destroyed.

“I’m sorry” she said somberly. I turned around and wept into my pillow.

A couple months later Phoenix Hannah’s cat ran away. All of our friends say “oh he probably ran away to die” 

One day we went to Petco because our mom had a surprise. I was hoping for something good this time. When we got there we looked at all the animals and it smelled like brand new shoes and looked so clean it sparkled.

“Tada!” Mom exclaimed. There they were they were playing like little tiny puffs of joy chasing each other. The kittens were soooo cute!

“Oh my gosh!” I shouted

“Shshshshshshshshsh!!!” The manager shushed

“They are so cute!” I whispered

“They are for us if we want them” My mom replied

So me and Hannah played with the kittens in Petco it was so fun! And we decided to keep them! My dad didn’t know but e decided to surprise him!

We were in my mom’s walk in closet that was where they were living. It stunk but it was worth it. My dad came home from his work and…

“Surprise!”  I yelled He wasn’t too happy.

Epilogue:

Now we live with our two kittens and we love to pay with them. We picked kittens again I got the older one AGAIN!!! Kittens are important to me because they are like my older brothers or younger In this case and they remind me of CA because of the sun and they never let you down.

How are Opal and Winn Dixie alot alike?

How can a stray dog connect with a preacher’s daughter? As the book Because of Winn Dixie by Kate DiCamillo goes on Winn Dixie and opal become closer. Opal realizes she is even more like Winn Dixie than she thought. In addition, Opal grows to love him even more. In the beginning they are a lot alike and when he gets lost they become even more alike.

Opal and her dog are a lot alike in the beginning. For example, As Opal is washing Winn Dixie she says “ We are a lot alike!” For example, They both care about each other.  Opal and inn Dixie both lost their mom this is important because this makes someone change or unhappy. So they helped each other through whatever they were going through by being nice to each other and being friends. They both love PB. For instance, When they went to Gloria dump’s house he ate the PB right out of her hand.

Opal learns to love him even more in the end. For example, in the end when Winn Dixie runs away Opal doesn’t want to give up looking for him because she loves winn Dixie and she doesn’t want to give up her best friend. He helped her a lot and she doesn’t want to lose him. Opal is happy to find out that winn Dixie was always inside because she missed him so much and she wanted him to be safe. 

Opla learns that a dog is a kids’ best friend even more in the end. I can relate to her because when she moved she left alone and that is how I felt when I moved. Ms. Franny gave everyone littmus lozenge which is a candy made to be sweet but all the sad ness went into it so I was sweet and sad at the same time. Life can be like a litmus lozenge sometimes sweet but sad at the same time. Opals life is like a littmus lozenge because she got a dog and she still has her dad and friends which is sweet but it’s also sad because her dad barely pays attention to her and her friends only like her for her dog  and she had to move and she lost her mom. The lesson I learned is that it doesn’t matter what the species is, you can relate to anyone.

moral of the story

I am read The one and only Ivan. Ivan is he main character and he makes a promise to his friend the elephant Stella That he will take care of the baby elephant that is brought here. He will have to take care of Ruby. The story take place in a circus. He has a friend named Julia she likes to draw near I an and she gives art supplies to Ivan so he can draw. His paintings are sold for 20 dollars. (25 dollars with frame.)

I think the moral of the story is that you should not give up because Ivan does not give up to save ruby and to get her in a zoo. Stella does not give up even though she was in so much pain because she has marks on her ankles from when they put cuffs on her ankles.

Winn-dixie

I think the preacher has changed because he used to be like a turtle in his shell and now Winn-Dixie has changed him he is now more active with his daughter and more happy. I think this because he used to a person who would not joke around at all. Now he likes to make jokes at church and he laughed at when winn-dixie caught the mouse. He also smiled when winn-dixie smiled at him after he caught the mouse. I also think the preacher became more loving. For Example, When they were looking all around town for winn-dixie he started crying because opal got mad at him because she tought he just let her mom run away like he was letting winn-dixie go.

Islandwood

At Island wood I had a ton of fun. We also had a ton of fun just in the lodge. Lulu made  a domino effect and it looked like a tree an it took three tries but it was still really cool. Beloria also made a domino effect but it got crushed by all the kids because i guess it took too long.

We also went to the challenge course I t was this thing called whale watching you have to balance the wieght on the board because sometimes on a boat someone says "WHALE" and everyone rushes over to see on one side and then the whole boat tips over.
